Job Description

As a Security Officer - Media Patrol in Annapolis Junction, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom and more .

As an unarmed patrol officer in a tech-focused location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents and provide a reassuring presence. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, responding to situations as they arise, and delivering exceptional customer service through clear communication. You will embody our values of agility, reliability, and innovation, working collaboratively with your team and always acting with integrity to support a positive environment for all individuals on site.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $37.32 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by following security procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter, with working environments and conditions varying by site.
• Help to deter unauthorized activity by maintaining a visible presence and observing for unusual behavior or circumstances.
• Document and report security-related incidents, hazards, or suspicious activity according to site protocols.
• Assist with access control and monitor entry points to help maintain a secure environment for personnel and visitors.

Minimum Requirements:

• Maryland Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
