  Are you an experienced Security Officer? Or are you looking to steer your career in that direction but not quite sure where to start and if you are experienced enough? Does the opportunity of providing security service for one of our fashion retailer logistic sites excite you?

  We are currently on the lookout for a Security Officer to join us at our River Island site in Milton Keynes. Based at the entrance of the warehouse, you will be the first person to greet and interact with all the visitors, contractors and colleagues. You will be guarding the access to the site and monitoring surrounding areas via CCTV.

  This is a full-time, permanent position working on a 4 on 4 off basis, with rotating shift hours of 06:00 – 18:00 and 18:00 – 06:00.

  We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £26,666.64 per annum.   What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Controlling the flow of people to and from the site including visitors, contractors and new starters
  • Monitoring the site and surroundings via CCTV
  • Communicating and escalating to senior management any danger, risks and emergencies
  • Other security activities such as Key Control, Telephony, carrying out colleague searches

  What you need to succeed at GXO:

  • Willingness to learn and flexibility in working hours
  • Keen eye for details, multitasking and working well under pressure
  • Ability to pass the DBS checks and experience in customer facing role would
    be an advantage
  • Basic IT skills to operate CCTV equipment, sending emails and creating reports
