- Education requirement: High school diploma or equivalent.
- One year of Healthcare Security strongly preferred.
- Must attend and receive annual certification training in Non-violence Crisis Intervention as scheduled by the Manager, Security, or designee.
- Valid Driver’s License
- Must complete IAHSS Basic Healthcare Security Training within the first 45 days.
- Must complete CPR training within the first 45 days of hire.
- Pay Range: $17.68-$24.76

Job Description
SUMMARY:
Under moderate supervision, maintains a safe and secure environment for employees, patients, physicians and visitors. Protects persons and property by preventing fires, thefts, assault, injuries and acts of vandalism through the enforcement of departmental rules and regulations.
Qualifications
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Works in all areas of hospital, with exposure to combative patients, fluctuating temperatures, and loud noise. Requires walking and standing approximately 70% of the time, requires sitting approximately 30% of the time. Requires handling combative patients, weighing in excess of 100 lbs.; requires pushing, pulling and lifting equipment and supplies weighing up to 100 lbs., approximately 30% of the time. Requires visual acuity and manual dexterity to operate tools and equipment. Potential for exposure to communicable diseases and/or blood and body substances and hazardous materials requiring the observance of Standard Precautions and safe handling practices.
