      Job Description

      As a Security Professional - Access Control in Sunnyvale, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial and more .

      As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment by monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, and conducting routine patrols throughout the premises. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents and provide peace of mind to those working on site. You will interact with employees, visitors, and contractors, delivering exceptional customer service and clear communication at all times. This position requires driving responsibilities, so a valid driver's license is necessary.       What You’ll Do:

      • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
      • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
      • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
      • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
      • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

      Responsibilities:

      • Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials and granting entry to authorized personnel, visitors, and vehicles as required.
      • Provide customer service by assisting employees, visitors, and contractors with access-related inquiries and site-specific procedures.
      • Carry out security-related procedures in accordance with site policies and protocols.
      • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response activities when appropriate.
      • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and identify potential security-related concerns.
      • Document and report any suspicious activity, security-related incidents, or policy violations to the appropriate Allied Universal personnel and/or client representatives.
      • Collaborate with site management and Allied Universal team members to support a secure environment within the manufacturing and industrial location.

      • Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

      Minimum Requirements:

      • Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
      • Must be at least 21 years of age.
      • A valid driver's license in the job state is required and must meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements for driving positions.
      • Experience working at limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets or rustic guard shacks is preferred.
      • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
      • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
      • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
      • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
      • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
      • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
