      Job Description

      As a Security Professional - Mall Patrol in Middletown, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more .

      As an unarmed patrol officer in a retail or mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents through your visible presence. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining open communication with visitors and staff. This post requires driving as part of your duties. You will contribute to a positive environment by acting with integrity, working as part of a team, and demonstrating a caring and reliable approach in all interactions.

      Responsibilities:

      • Provide customer service by following security procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
      • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
      • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
      • Observe and report any suspicious behavior or security-related incidents within the retail environment.
      • Assist customers, visitors, and staff with directions or information as needed while maintaining a visible presence.
      • Collaborate with local law enforcement or emergency services when appropriate.
      • Complete detailed and accurate reports of daily activities and any incidents that occur during the shift.

      Minimum Requirements:

      • Must have at least 1 year of security experience.
      • Must be at least 21 years of age.
      • A valid driver’s license is required and must meet Allied Universal Driver Policy requirements.
      • New York Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
      • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
      • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
      • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
      • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
      • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
      • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
      • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
