      Salary Range: $20-$23 per hour. This is a Part Time position. This is for weekend security Monitor; Shifts are 9pm to 4am Sat and Sun.

      Position is for un-armed overnight security "Monitor" that will patrol 2 hotel properties and associated parking lot. As well as keeping everyone safe, this position will also provide outstanding hospitality to our guests and co-workers. Delivering items to guest rooms, small R&M items, and keeping the quiet hours intact are just a few things expected in this role. Working with the Night Auditors (security reports to them) to ensure a safe shift and awesome hospitality is the goal.

      Job Description

      At the hotel, people come and go through our doors each day to work, shop, eat. We’re looking for a highly competent security officer to join our team to monitor the premises and protect our valued staff, visitors, tenants, and inventory. Our ideal candidate will have prior experience as a security officer or guard. He or she will have a sharp eye with quick reaction time in the detection of any suspicious or criminal behavior, and prevention of theft or vandalism.

      Although you’ll be working under the direct supervision of the General Manager, we will rely upon you for the protection, safeguarding and security of assets, personnel, customers, tenants, visitors, and other people and property on our grounds.

      Objectives of this Role

      ·Ensure a safe environment through a team effort of diligent active patrol, strict access control, monitoring, and equipment control

      ·Be visible and observant at all times, greeting staff, guests, and vendors in a courteous and attentive manner

      ·Respond immediately to distress calls, panic alarms, and emergency calls for disorderly conduct, disruptive persons, and incidents swiftly and appropriately

      ·Maintain the company’s reputation with professionalism and legal compliance

      ·Collaborate with other security officers for effective protection and coverage

      Duties and Responsibilities

      ·Patrol property on foot, securing personnel, assets, buildings, gates, and fence perimeter are secure in all weather conditions

      ·Investigate and take the appropriate lawfully action as authorized by the corporate policy on accidents, incidents, trespassing, suspicious activities, safety and fire incidents

      ·Complete daily reports, including relevant information, observations, surveillance footage, and signatures

      ·Secure all doors, windows, and exits, depending on shift

      ·Employees or guests may discover missing property and notify the security guard; as the hotel security, you should be familiar with the hotel’s loss and prevention policy and act on it.

      ·Access control: Some places are only accessible to authorized individuals; you should be aware of this and keep an eye out for anyone who may attempt to enter the area.

      Skills and Qualifications

      ·High school diploma or equivalent

      ·1 year experience, or similar role

      ·Able to walk and climb stairs throughout the shift

      ·Utilize a 2-way radio

      ·Calm under pressure

      ·Helpful, courteous attitude
