- Establishes and maintains working relationships with local, state and federal law enforcement agencies to include community involvement
- Responsible for scheduling and reviewing staffing levels to maintain adequate Security coverage
- Responsible for guest approaches and investigations involving intoxication, theft or any situation that may arise
- Develops and manages the budget for the Security Department. Reviews financial data to ensure expenditures are being recorded correctly
- Controls access to restricted areas and monitoring guest and team member passage in and out of the casino and/or hotel property
- Meet with departmental directors and managers as necessary

- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment
- Understand and comply with all company and departmental rules and regulations, policies and procedures
- Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with staff and guests
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
- 5 + years of experience in security, surveillance and patron/property liability of high volume business or industry preferred
- 3+ years of supervisory experience preferred
- Minimum 2 years previous military, law enforcement, or related experience preferred.
- Ability to perform multiple assigned duties under frequent time pressures
- Valid state driver’s license
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid state gaming license and Alcohol Awareness Card (AES)
JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for ensuring the safety and security of guests, team members and Company assets. The Security Manager is responsible for the successful overall performance of the Security Department.
ESSENTIAL DUITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (May include, but is not limited to the following)

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT ( May be required in order to perform the essential functions of the position)
Work is performed in an area, which may be unusually hot, cold, noisy, smoky, dimly lit or brightly illuminated. May require working at a level of 4 ft. above floor level, in confined areas, around moving objects, in high places and on slippery surfaces. May come into contact with vibrations, solvents/oils, fumes/odors and dirt/dust. Requires use of electrical devices, mechanical devices and computer equipment. Constant contact with staff and guests. Regular, predictable attendance and the ability to work flexible hours.
Requires being mobile 100% of the shift. Requires seldom sitting, bending, reaching, crouching, kneeling, crawling, pushing/pulling, lifting/carrying from 10 to over 100 lbs., driving a vehicle, light and firm/strong grasping with both hands; occasional climbing, balancing; frequent standing, walking, repetitive use of the dominant hand and finger dexterity, near/far visual acuity, depth perception, field of vision, accommodation and absence of color blindness. Requires normal sense of smell and sound. Requires eye/hand coordination. Requires the ability to distinguish letters or symbols, perform complex tasks, simple reading, math and complex writing skills. Requires the ability to see things spatially and with form, perform clerical functions, compile, coordinate, analyze and synthesize information. Requires the ability to supervise, instruct others, follow instructions, influence others, meet time requirements, memorize, problem solve, use independent judgment and decision making skills. Requires communicating by two-way radio and telephone in English.

PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must have the ability to provide internal/ external guests with service excellence, have excellent communication skills and observation skills, and have an easygoing demeanor to ensure a fun and safe environment for our guests. Above average speech – both speaking and reading/writing English. Need excellent interpersonal skills. Work requires schedule flexibility which may include days off, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
