      Duties


      • You will manage security clearances for Center personnel.
      • You will develop and implement policies and procedures for the personnel security program within the Center.
      • You will review requests for security clearances and special accesses, applying agency or organizational regulations regarding the type of personal security check required and requesting an investigation from the appropriate organization.
      • You will evaluate foreign government entities’ eligibility to receive classified and controlled information.
      • You will serve as the Center inter-agency security liaison, coordinate with the installation for foreign visitors’ base access and ensures the appropriate security measures are adhered to.
      • You will be responsible for the physical protection of sensitive or classified information, personnel, facilities or other sensitive materials, resources, or processes against criminal, terrorist, or hostile intelligence activities.
      • You will be responsible for the classification, declassification, and protection of classified national defense and other sensitive information originated or controlled by Federal agencies.
      • You will collaborate with the information systems Security Manager (ISSM) and the information technology team at large in ensuring the required information security policies and procedures are adhered to by the organization and its guests.
      • You will receive, propagate, and resolve work requests in line with the priorities and in conjunction with the local installation support entity.
      • You will perform daily, weekly, monthly, and semi-annual safety, security and preventative maintenance inspections of the entire facility.
      • You will conduct oversight of cleaning services performed by contract cleaning personnel.

      Requirements


      • Must be a US Citizen.
      • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
      • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

      • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
      • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
      • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
      • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current driver's license.

      Qualifications


      Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: applying security procedures and practices for the protection of classified and sensitive unclassified information, security clearances, physical protection of personnel and facilities, and performing security inspections of facilities for an organization.
