Security Specialist at Saab Technologies Poland

Your role

As a Security Specialist at Saab Technologies Poland, you will work in an international environment where advanced security threats are part of the everyday business alongside complex IT environments and projects with high business impact. As the role grows you will lead, develop, implement and manage policies and procedures to meet and maintain both internal and external company security standards. This is a new position at our company.

You will be responsible for analyzing and supporting our operations with risk mitigations and with the task of identifying and preventing security threats. You will also support the business handling and ongoing delivery projects in Poland with external and internal security demands, and be a key player in handling incidents and raising security awareness. As a security specialist at Saab, you will work with classified information. This position requires that you will be approved in a security screening by both Polish and Swedish authorities.

Saab Technologies Poland have today operations at multiple sites: Warsaw, Gdańsk, Gdynia and others. Frequent travelling including overnight stays in Poland is required. Travelling abroad, mainly within CEE region and Sweden, is required usually on a monthly basis.

Your main tasks will be, but not limited to:

• Compliance management regarding local Polish Confidential Information Handling Act and the protection of classified information;
• Information security management including classified information management;
• Site security, from both - physical and personal perspective;
• Plan and carry out security audits;
• Preparation of security documentation as required by the business;
• Manage insider prevention program at STPL including security clearance process.

Experience and skills:

You are an experienced security specialist with sound knowledge of Polish regulation on protection of classified information and its procedures, have a keen eye on details and very high moral and ethical standards.

• Proven experience as a security controller or a similar position;
• Minimum five years of relevant experience;
• Excellent knowledge of security protocols and procedures;
• Working knowledge and experience of Polish Confidential Information Handling Act;
• Excellent communication skills in Polish and in English, verbal and written;
• Personal security clearance is required. Valid Personal security clearance will be considered as an advantage.

• Have experience and a good understanding of working with classified information with in the defense and security business environment;
• Experience from working for government authorities and or in a global company including understanding of information security related issues in the business process;
• Being solution oriented, actionable and a problem solver;
• You are a true team player, always focusing at the team results, whether the team is the security team, the business area, group functions or Saab as a company;

• Ability to build and maintain strong personal business networks and good relations inside as well as outside your own organization including participation in customer meetings to support delivery projects in Poland;

• Have a structured way of working, from planning to execution.

What you will be a part of:

You will be part of, and based at Saab Technologies Poland in Warsaw reporting to the Management Board. The security function at Saab Technologies Poland is responsible for site security, security administration, information security and security risk management. You will be supporting the ongoing business and operations in all our facilities in Poland.

This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. Polish citizenship is required.
