- Monitors, prioritizes and directs response to enterprise wide security activities from the 24x7x365 Security Operations Center Assists employees, contractors and visitors in all concerns that pertain to safety and security.
- Conducts ongoing review of multiple systems and sources to detect potential risks Monitors the travel safety of company employees Investigates alarms and dispatches Security Officers or alerting Fire and/or law Enforcement agencies Compiles daily reports and creates incident reports Conducts risk analysis for locations and events and makes recommendations Serves as a mentor to peers and team members for assigned area of responsibility.
- Guides team members in the development and delivery of their work product.
- This position assists in the training and development of lower level specialists.
- Ability to support the Unified Command Center (UCC) staff in crises situations and operate UCC specific applications at a basic level.
- Gathers information, analyzes data trends, identifies root cause(s), and proactively provides information to the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) and appropriate stakeholders Leverages internal and external partnerships to proactively solve business problems and ensure appropriate elements are communicated in a clear and timely manner.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.
- High School Diploma, General Equivalency Diploma, or applicable Trade School/Technical Diploma required.
- 4 or more years of operational experience in a fast-paced Operations Center environment or Emergency Management background.
- Must possess the ability to liaise with law enforcement and security industry personnel.
- Associates degree in Criminal Justice, Emergency Management, or related field. Substitute 2 years in a leadership position for education.
- Leadership Experience with managing/ supervising Teams
- advanced Microsoft Office proficiency
- Excellent multi-tasking and critical thinking skills
- Superior verbal and written communication skills, both intra-team and to across external teams and agencies.
- APCO Certified Public Safety Telecommunicator
- NIMS IS-700, ICS-100
- US military experience through military service or a military spouse/domestic partner [optional]

We are seeking a dedicated Security Specialist Senior for our San Antonio Home Office I to be Responsible for monitoring the safety and security of employees, contractors, visitors and facilities worldwide. Uses a variety of tools ranging from access control, CCTV, GIS, alarm monitoring to various intelligence sources, internet, communication and in-house tools, to detect, analyze and dispatch/alert Security Officers, appropriate Strategic Partners, and/or external responding authorities/fire/law enforcement regarding any adverse conditions to the enterprise or its employees, contractors and visitors. These incidents may range from intrusion and workplace violence to adverse weather conditions and technical failures. Works under minimal supervision. Performs moderately complex to complex work assignments and problem resolution across multiple disciplines. Collaborates with all levels of USAA management and internal partners to assess business or employee issues related security, safety, and risk issues.

Compensation: USAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market data of the position. The actual salary for this role may vary by location. The salary range for this position is: $51,900.00- $83,420.00.
Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance and at the discretion of the USAA Board of Directors.
