      Position Vacant: Security Supervisor

      Function: Security

      Location: Port Moresby

      We have an immediate requirement for a Security Supervisor based in Port Moresby, reporting to the National Security Manager.

      Main duties include:

      • Coordinate day-to-day security operations and administration of hired security guard force, including security dog handlers.
      • Supervise short-term security operations at any location deemed necessary by management.
      • Conducts endorsed “on-the-job training” for the static guard force and peers.
      • Conducts investigations into breaches of security or any other investigation as tasked.
      • Conducts initial inquiries concerning criminal investigations, which directly affect the SPBL operation.
      • Ensures adherence to procedures and reports identified deficiencies.
      • Attend to emergencies.
      • Conducts security reviews and assessments identifying deficiencies to safeguard company assets and properties.
      • Manage and oversee functions of CCTV and security assets to ensure compatibility.
      • Assist NSM with clerical and administrative functions and duties.
      • Computer Literate and possess knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
      • Liaise with contractors/suppliers and ensure payment for services rendered is met on time.
      • Management of DSX security systems.
      • Management of Security allocated equipment and assets
      • Formulate and develop site-specific procedures to suit.
      • Capture contractor employees' manning hours per month and submit them to the Safety Manager in POM.
      • Check and administer the security service provider's monthly invoices for payment and submit them to NSM for payment.
      • Provide support to the External Affairs Manager and commercial compliance executives.
      • Collaborate with Law Enforcement Agencies (LEA) to identify and target smuggling syndicates involved in the illicit alcohol trade.
      • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to conduct investigations, prosecution, and seizures of illicit alcohol/counterfeit.
      • Build a strong network intelligence network of sources, contacts, and information (develop stakeholder contact matrix).
      • Collaborate with external security service providers and LEA for surveillance purposes.

      Qualification and Experience :

      • Minimum Grade 10 education.
      • Current PNG driving license.
      • Minimum 10 years of experience in a Police Service or Defense Force with operational experience is highly desirable.
      • A minimum of 2 years in an administrative supervisory role is essential.
      • Experience in emergency response activities would be a highly regarded job.
      • Familiarization with DSX security systems, Trackpro Fleet Monitoring, and CCTV Monitoring with the use of Hiti ID card procedures.
      • Preferably valid Driver’s License.
