- Assists in the management of parking, access control, badging, and policy enforcement, all while ensuring daily logs are accurate for monthly reports.
- Coordinates security responses to emergencies, make independent decisions to resolve situations, and use de-escalation techniques to prevent conflict escalation. Responds promptly to incidents, and ensure incidents are investigated, evidence is collected, and documented in reports.
- Provides input for the development of the annual department budget (i.e. capital equipment needs, staffing reports). Reports security concerns, threats, and vulnerabilities to relevant authorities and hospital staff.
- Assists in developing emergency response plans for disasters, coordinate emergency drills to enhance staff proficiency and maintain strong relationships between law enforcement and the hospital.
- Ensures adherence to all hospital security policies and procedures, while assisting with the collection of evidence and maintenance of records as needed by the Quality Assurance Department, Joint Commission accreditation, OSHA guidelines or as maybe required by law.
- Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, developing, training, and retaining employees; planning, assigning, and leading work; appraising performance; rewarding and coaching employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Associate's or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, plus six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Flexible Monday-Friday 6:00am-3:00pm; 80-hours 2-weeks
(8-10 hours shifts) On call & weekend coverage
This position will be responsible for supervising physical security projects and technology enhancements including:
Access Control: Managing day-to-day operations for verifying employee and visitor credentials, monitoring systems for suspicious activity, creating security protocols for sensitive areas, and overseeing parking, badging, and policy enforcement, while maintaining daily security logs.
Security System Maintenance: Completing preventative checks, identifying and resolving malfunctions, coordinating upgrades and repairs with IT teams, and managing vendor work orders to completion.
Security System Design: Deploy security systems to streamline operational needs, assist in developing physical security standards, maintain technology continuity within systems at varying locations, and ensure security drawings are current.
Vendor Management: Overseeing the installation, integration, and maintenance of security systems, managing work orders, and ensuring security quotes are tracked and executed with minimal operational impact. Managing security projects and removing impediments to meet project deadlines and scope, while ensuring quality vendor craftsmanship.
Administrative Duties: Providing input for the annual department budget, managing the hospital key control program under the Security Manager's supervision, and reporting security concerns and potential threats to relevant authorities and hospital staff.
Emergency Management: Assisting in the development response plans for various disasters, maintaining relationships with law enforcement agencies, and coordinating emergency drills to enhance staff proficiency in procedures.
Compliance Management: Collecting evidence and maintaining records for quality assurance, Joint Commission, OSHA, and legal requirements, ensuring adherence to hospital security policies. Conducting security audits to identify and correct vulnerabilities, and maintaining documentation of procedures and incidents.
Customer Service: Managing the Security Operations Team by dispatching officers to calls for service and interacting with end-users to mitigate problems or concerns.
