Responsible for implementing automation using JAVA, Selenium Web driver, Selenium grid, Maven, and cucumber.The roles and responsibilities of a selenium tester include understanding and examining test requirements.Design and implementation of automation framework.Setting up selenium test environments such as selenium web driver, Maven integration, TestNG, Java, and Jenkins integration.The selenium tester must create test cases with selenium web driver commands and element locators and also inspect elements.The tester must escalate test cases using JUnit TestNG annotations and Java programming.The selenium tester must also maintain automation resources.The tester must set up a selenium environment for preparing scripts, selectStrong knowledge of any automation testing web framework is mandatory (cypress, selenium, webdriverio, playwright), but, for now, cypress is our tool of choice, so knowledge of this tool will be beneficial. Youll be required to be able to write, read and improve test cases as part of our regression pack and debug failures when necessary, with a keen eye on best practices and performance. Exposure to Accessibility testing (Axe), Visual Regression (Applitools) and Performance testing would be beneficial, particularly in relation to automation. What youll be doing day to day Youll be embedded in a feature team delivering one or more parts of the customer facing websites belonging to Lloyds Banking Group. Your role would entail, but not being limited to: collaborating with team members to ensure stories from Product Owners are properly broken down and have a corresponding test plan Take part into release activities for frontend and backend of our applications Deliver optimal and efficient automation scripts, written in cypress Report on test execution and progress on such activities in daily and weekly meetings Contribute to technical progress to improve process and tooling at a lab levelAbout the company
