  Job Description

  SEMCO - Engineering Tech I
  The Engineering Tech. I, under direct supervision, repairs, tests, and installs the Company’s RTUs, metering, industrial telemetering, meter correctors, and other remote SCADA equipment.
  
  You Will
  • Designs, documents, maintains, troubleshoots the Company’s system specifications, develops and modifies screen layouts, communication circuits, and/or databases. Programs end-user reports and interfaces for the Company’s database programs.
  • Installs, troubleshoots, and manages mobile radio and other related equipment associated with company fleet vehicles.
  • Performs basic technical troubleshooting and repair for various electronic systems including, but not limited to: compressor station controls, field controls, PLC systems, measurement devices, and other electrical systems used by the Company.
  • Performs scheduled maintenance of radio hardware and associated support systems to ensure reliable communications.
  • Ensures that all required Federal, State, and other jurisdictional compliance’s are maintained for all Company equipment. Maintains renewals, closures, and applications for all FCC licenses.
  • Researches specific engineering topics and products to resolve technical inquiries. Provide support on various project teams for the improvement of company systems or technology as related to engineering.
  • Participates in company training as required.
  
  You Have

  • Associate’s Degree in the technical field related to electronics / computer programming or equivalent.

  • Knowledge of basic mechanical & electrical principles, preferred.

  • Minimum two (2) years of electrical and/or gas distribution experience.

  In addition to our standard benefits package, the estimated base hourly rate for this role will range from $30.53/hour - $39.00/hour, depending upon experience.
