Job Description

Aid in the implementation of the EWR program, including processing invoices, validating customers, and advancing marketing campaigns.
Testifying as an expert witness, provide support to expert witnesses and assisting in the coordination of the regulatory process for EWR and other cases.
Ensure compliance with MPSC orders related to EWR programs and maintain the company's tariff book.
Conduct in-depth analysis of EWR surcharges, forecasts, and implementation models.
Evaluate the efficacy of energy efficiency initiatives through data analysis and tracking key performance indicators.
Provide technical and administrative support for the implementation of the carbon offset value-added program.
Coordinate with internal stakeholders to provide program training and awareness.
Stay updated on trends in the energy efficiency and carbon offset market, identifying innovative strategies aligned with our sustainability and business goals.
Prepare and file required reports for both the company and Michigan Public Service Commission.
Manage projects within defined time and budget constraints, encompassing research, presentation preparation, recommendation development, implementation, and monitoring.
Contribute to enhancing the Rates & Regulatory department, as well as other company departments as needed.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business, Engineering, Environmental Science, a related field or demonstrate equivalent work experience.
Two or more years of professional experience in a related setting aligned with the role's essential responsibilities.
Prior work experience in project management, developing ESG policies/procedures, carbon accounting, carbon offset project development and/or verification, carbon standards and protocols, and/or carbon trading.
Prior track record of achieving measurable outcomes in energy efficiency or corporate sustainability initiatives.
Certification(s) in Energy Management or related field.
Exceptional analytical and organizational skills to assess data, compile statistics, and generate insightful reports, graphs, tables, and charts.
Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
Proficiency in various personal computer business software applications currently utilized by the Company, with a quick ability to learn new systems.
Strong organizational, analytical, and judgment skills, with a commitment to maintaining data accuracy and confidentiality.
Foster a positive work environment by engaging effectively with colleagues, customers, vendors and management.
Prioritize safety by adhering to established safety standards and promptly reporting potential hazards.
Must adhere to Company policies and procedures related to the code of business ethics, compliance, responsible use of Company assets, and all applicable state and federal laws.

SEMCO - Sustainability Analyst
As a Sustainability Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in advancing our Company’s commitment to sustainability and energy efficiency. Under general supervision, you will provide project management, coordination, and analytical support for the implementation of SEMCO’s Energy Waste Reduction (EWR) program and contribute to the development and execution of other demand side energy management and carbon neutrality strategies.

In addition to our standard benefits package, the estimated base salary for this role will range from $65,000 - $78,500, depending on experience.
