Job Overview

The position will be based in Bosjesspruit, and the incumbent will report to the Foreman.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Maintain safety (SHE) standards at all times.
• Assist and work with artisan solve problem.
• Safe and on-time delivery on machines.
• Ensure correct and applicable use of and proper control of personnel protective equipment (PPE)
• Always maintain quality workmanship.
• Ensure proper timekeeping.
• As far as practical and reasonable; assist to ensure that all areas both inside and outside of the workshop are kept neat, clean and in a safe condition with everything kept in designated areas.
• Promote continuous improvement by identifying and facilitating the implementation of new ideas, processes and/or methods, by reporting it to the Foreman.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Mechanical experience.
• Fault finding Mechanical skills and experience in the mining industry environment.
• Hydraulic experience on JOY machines or similar (Shuttle cars and Continuous Miners).
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Understand and piping as per approved OEM drawings.
• Crane and forklift license an advantage.
• Experience in dismantling and assemble JOY machines.
• Valid Driver’s License

• Overtime and shift work required from time to time.
