- Identifying and reducing sources of variation
- Reducing machine faults
- Reducing defectivity
- Defining and writing tool maintenance procedures
- Improving tool availability and throughput and availability
- Reducing Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF)
- Working with and training technicians and peers
- Improving cost performance
- Specifying, sourcing and qualifying new equipment and parts
- Participating and/or leading cross functional teams
- Supporting development and transfer activities.
- Implementing zero defect processes
- Defining tool qualification procedures
- Developing and writing specifications
- Reducing cycle time and scrap
- Qualifying process and equipment
- Supporting development or transfer activities.
- Implementation of Six-Sigma statistical process control methods
- Capacity planning and modeling
- BS Degree or higher in engineering or science
- 3+ years of industry experience of equipment engineering experience in a semiconductor Fab
- Experience is preferred with Cleans semiconductor equipment on one or more of the following platforms: SCP9400, GAMA, SEMITOOL SST, SAT, RADR/MILLENIUM, Screen WS820-L, Screen SS-80B, SS-80-EX.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated; able to take initiative and effectively prioritize work.
- A desire to work in a team environment and to create a positive work environment.
- Ability to deal with multiple issues and shifting priorities.
- Knowledge of and experience using Lean Manufacturing methods is desirable
Primary Responsibilities:
The Cleans Equipment Engineer opportunity is in a high-volume semiconductor wafer manufacturing environment.
Prior experience with ownership and responsibility for the maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and productivity of manufacturing tools and or processes is required.
