The Senior Accountant will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of accounting information in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and the firm’s accounting policies and procedures. This is a highly visible role, working closely with the Senior Manager, Controller, and other Finance leaders, with high growth potential.
What You'll Do:
• Prepares and posts all journal entries to the firm’s integrated financial system.
• Prepares monthly account reconciliations for firm accounts, including multi-currency reconciliations on cash and accrual basis of accounting.
• Prepares and maintains fixed asset and depreciation schedules on a monthly basis, adjusting for new capital expenditures and/or retired assets. Understands, researches and recommends changes to depreciation lives and methods based on evolving tax regulations.
• Reviews and records investment-related account activity.
• Performs the month-end and year-end financial system closing processes.
• Assists in the preparation of schedules for all firm audits (including U.S. and international operations), and audited full disclosure financial statements including statutory compliance with various local jurisdictions, and be the primary contact with auditors and other external consultants.
• Assists in the preparation and filing of several tax schedules, including the maintenance of state or country specific fixed asset schedules, allocation models and revenue recognition for market based tax reporting.
• Proactively recommends operational improvements.
• Mentor junior accountants.
Who You Are:

• Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
• High proficiency in Excel.
• Experience with international operations, multiple book types/multiple currencies a plus.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Business Administration preferred, or equivalent.
• 5+ years of related financial management experience; professional service organization/law firm experience a plus.
