As we continue to grow and make a positive impact in our community, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will bring a combination of nonprofit and for-profit business experience, a solid background in accounting, and expertise in managing financial activities related to local, state, and federal contracts.


      Position Summary:


      As a Senior Accountant at Grace Mar, you will play a crucial role in overseeing our financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and transparency. The successful candidate will have at least 5 years of accounting experience, a bachelor's degree (MBA or CPA preferred), and a proven track record of managing complex financial processes.


      Responsibilities:


      Financial Management:


      Oversee day-to-day financial activities, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations.

      Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.


      Contract Management:


      Manage financial aspects of local, state, and federal contracts, including budgeting, reporting, and compliance.

      Collaborate with program managers to ensure accurate financial reporting and adherence to contract requirements.





      Financial Reporting:



      Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and analyses for internal and external stakeholders.

      Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts, providing valuable insights to support strategic decision-making.


      Audit and Compliance:


      Coordinate and support annual audits, ensuring all financial records are accurate, accessible, and in compliance with regulatory standards.

      Stay informed about changes in accounting regulations and ensure the organization's accounting practices remain up-to-date and compliant.

      Team Collaboration:


      Work closely with cross-functional teams to provide financial guidance and support.

      Collaborate with the finance team to streamline processes, enhance financial controls, and implement best practices.



      Requirements

      Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field (MBA or CPA preferred).

      Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with a focus on nonprofit and for-profit business environments.

      Experience managing financial aspects of local, state, and federal contracts.

      Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

      Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

      Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
