      Job Title: Senior Accountant
      Location: Charlotte, NC (Hybrid, flexible schedule)
      Employment Type: Contract-to-hire

      Job Summary:
      We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our accounting team. This role plays a key part in ensuring timely and accurate recording of operating expenses and revenues across multiple legal entities. The ideal candidate will have experience with complex intercompany accounting, financial reporting, and reconciliation processes. This position requires strong collaboration across domestic and international teams and a high level of technical proficiency with accounting systems and tools.

      Key Responsibilities:

      • Develop, maintain, and review complex spreadsheets for intercompany cost allocations.

      • Prepare and review intercompany invoices and entries to ensure accuracy and proper settlement.

      • Collaborate with global teams to obtain financial data and resolve discrepancies.

      • Handle accounting, billing, and settlement processes related to cross-entity employee assignments.

      • Manage multiple accounting ledgers and ensure consistency across reporting bases.

      • Complete and review quarter- and year-end close activities, including accruals, reclasses, and asset entries.

      • Perform and review balance sheet reconciliations and address variances.

      • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

      • Coordinate with auditors and respond to audit requests in a timely manner.

      Qualifications:

      • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
      • Minimum of 6 years of relevant accounting or finance experience.
      • Experience in financial services or insurance is preferred.

      • Familiarity with multi-entity accounting structures is a plus.

      • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, Power Pivot/Query).

      • SAP experience required, especially in FI and CO modules.

      • Experience with Alteryx is a plus.

      • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.

      • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

      • Proven ability to manage complex processes independently.
