      MCA, your trusted advisor for wireless communications, data, and security, is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant in the Spartanburg, SC / Charlotte, NC area to support our growing central team.

      WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

      • Managing the full cycle of accounting to ensure the proper accounting and reporting of company transactions.
      • Preparing, posting, and/or reviewing monthly journal entries to ensure the accurate and complete accounting for project revenues, expenses, accruals, and related account analyses is timely.
      • Preparing, analyzing, and/or reviewing monthly account reconciliations and supporting schedules.
      • Corresponding with other departments to ensure proper accounting for purchases and expenses.
      • Analyzing balance sheets and income statements to include the comparison to forecasted and trended results.
      • Interacting with central and divisional finance team(s) to maintain consistent accounting.
      • Assisting in the review and preparation of interim financial statements.
      • Supporting MCA’s annual external audit.
      • Preparing various ad hoc and monthly recurring reports and analyses for management.
      • Assisting in the documentation and monitoring of internal controls.
      • Assisting with special projects, as needed.

      WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE TEAM:

      • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, CPA is a plus.
      • 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a fast-paced & high-volume environment with demonstrated ability to anticipate next steps, take initiative, exercise discretion, and apply sound judgment.
      • Strong understanding of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
      • Ability to produce timely deliverables and manage multiple and shifting priorities in a dynamic environment.
      • Proactive communication skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
      • A team player with the ability to establish collaborative working relationships.
      • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and work well under deadline pressure.
      • Strong technical and analytical accounting background with recent experience.
      • Exhibits a commitment to solving difficult problems with effective solutions and looks beyond the obvious for effective solutions to meet/exceed the needs of internal and external customers.
      • Acts in a manner of integrity that shows support for the company, its values, and other employees.
      • Highly proficient computer and software skills including advanced Excel skillset. NetSuite experience is preferred.

      While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to frequently stand, walk, sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk or hear; lift (overhead, waist level) from the floor, bending, frequently utilize near vision use for reading and computer use; occasionally move equipment weighing up to 15 pounds, and frequently position self to maintain computers or other equipment as needed.
