The Senior Accountant role is part of the Global Accounting Delivery (GAD) Team within Volvo Cars, which is developing and delivering global efficient and harmonized processes in PTP, OTC and General Accounting and Reporting (GAR).
What you'll do
You will secure that the Cluster applies correct accounting principles and comply with national and international laws and regulations as well as company guidelines. You will also be responsible for the accuracy of reported financial figures.
• You will be responsible for the day-to-day accounting, monthly closings, account reconciliation and timely and accurate reporting.
• You will be the interface and the point of contact for our CFOs in our National Companies Volvo Group Finance Organization, internal customers and external auditors
• Take part in process development
• Deliver high quality service and advice within the area of responsibility
• Identify areas for improvement within area of responsibility
• Complex analysis and reporting
• Measure and follow up the quality and efficiency of global processes
Do you fit the profile?
• A university degree in Finance or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in Accounting
• Fluent in English both verbally and written
• Knowledge of Finance processes and policies and ability to apply these in the daily work
• Experience in executing global processes locally and working effectively in a global team
• Good knowledge of Taxes, Local GAAP and knowledge of IFRS.
• Knowledge of SAP systems.
• Be a great communicator with good collaboration skills.
• Have an ability to plan and prioritize with a positive mindset.
• You have high integrity regarding your work
• Capable of dealing with tight deadlines
• Good analytical skills
• You are service minded and curious.
• Ability to work independently and to drive improvements
• Excel advance and easy learning with IT tools.
