Job Description

- Participate in the monthly closing process, including preparation and review of journal entries, financial statements, and related variance/account analysis.
- Evaluate balance sheet schedules, prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, and address any reconciling items in a timely manner.
- Prepare necessary documentation and schedules for the audit.
- Assist with integration activities associated with mergers & acquisitions and assess impact on accounting processes and associated controls.
- Analyze current procedures and recommend changes to develop and implement best practice accounting procedures.
- Partner with various departments to gather and provide necessary financial information.
- Performing other accounting duties as required or assigned.
- BA/BS degree in Accounting or related fields with a solid understanding of GAAP.
- 3- 5 years of accounting experience.
- Highly motivated with demonstrated ability to manage concurrent projects, adapt to change, and collaborate effectively across business functions.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- Strong technical, analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Track record of taking the initiative to resolve issues.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with all levels of management and work in a team-oriented environment.
- Technology savvy with intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Experience with Oracle and Blackline (or similar systems) preferred.
- Experience in public accounting and broker-dealers preferred.
- CPA license is a plus but not required.
