      We're currently searching for a talented and passionate Senior Accountant to join our team. The Senior Accountant will report to the Senior Accounting Manager. The position will be responsible for supporting various aspects of the monthly close and reporting of the financial results of the Broker-Dealer and RIA. The position will assist in implementing process improvements to help the team streamline and enhance efficiencies, promote the analysis and communication of results, and provide proactive customer service to business partners. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who collaborates well with team members.

      This is a hybrid role, candidates must be located near an office hub: El Segundo, CA | Dallas, TX | San Deigo, CA.

      Specific responsibilities include:

      • Participate in monthly closing process, including preparation and review of journal entries, financial statements and related variance/account analysis.
      • Evaluate balance sheet schedules, prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, and address any reconciling items in a timely manner.
      • Prepare necessary documentation and schedules for the audit.
      • Assist with integration activities associated with mergers & acquisitions and assess impact to accounting processes and associated controls.
      • Analyze current procedures and recommend changes to develop and implement best practice accounting procedures.
        Partner with various departments to gather and provide necessary financial information.
      • Performing other accounting duties as required or assigned.

      Qualifications:

      • BA/BS degree in Accounting or related fields with solid understanding of GAAP
      • 3- 5 years of accounting experience.
      • Highly motivated with demonstrated ability to manage concurrent projects, adapt to change, and collaborate effectively across business functions.
      • Excellent organizational and time management skills with a high level of attention to detail.
      • Strong technical, analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
      • Track record of taking initiative to resolve issues.
      • Strong communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with all levels of management and work in a team-oriented environment.
      • Technology savvy with intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
      • Experience with Oracle and Blackline (or similar systems) preferred.
      • Experience in public accounting and broker-dealers preferred.
      • CPA license a plus, but not required

      Compensation:

      The base annual salary range for this role is$80,000 - $110,000, plus a competitive performance-based bonus. Base annual salary depends on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and location. Base annual salary may also differ significantly due to geography and cost of labor considerations.
