      GENERAL SUMMARY:

      The Senior Accountant, reporting to the Director of Accounting, will be an integral part of the day-to-day processing of accounting transactions and successful completion of month end close. This position will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate accounting in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

      DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

      • Perform month-end close activities including but not limited to preparation, analysis, and reconciliation of general ledger accounts and posting journal entries in accordance with GAAP.
      • Manage bank reconciliations and daily cash monitoring and reporting.
      • Maintain general ledger account reconciliations to support month-end account balances.
      • Oversee processing of expense reporting.
      • Assist in the financial reporting process and external audit including the accumulation of support and responding to audit inquiries.
      • Responsible for intercompany, fixed asset, and prepaid transactions among multiple legal entities.
      • Involved in accounting for capitalized commissions and capitalized development.
      • Assist in integration and improvement of accounting operations and systems.
      • Perform various projects and tasks assigned by management and handling other ad hoc tasks within the accounting team.

      • Financial Admin: This position may have access to and be responsible for the security of financial administrative accounts and corporate accounts.
      • Application Admin: This position may have access to and be responsible for securely administering user access to corporate applications.

      Qualifications


      EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

      • Bachelor's degree in Accounting. CPA a plus.
      • Minimum of 3-5 years of Accounting experience in General Ledger.
      • Proficient in financial management systems, NetSuite and Concur experience preferred.
      • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with experience with Word and PowerPoint.
      • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial analysis with keen attention to detail.
      • Knowledge of regulatory compliance and financial reporting requirements.
      • Self-starter with a strong ability to work independently and cross functionally.
      • Incredible attention to detail and impeccable work ethic with a drive to get to the next level.
      • Ability to generate ideas and provide suggestions for process improvement to advance speed and accuracy of accounting functions.
      • Adept at pivoting quickly to change with a proactive strategic thinking approach.
      • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
      • Capable of prioritizing projects and tasks to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, high transaction volume environment.
