      Position Overview:

      The Senior Accountant role is responsible for preparing financial statements, verifying financial records and transactions, analyzing cash flow, assisting with coordination of annual external audits, and leading accounting team. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for training new accounting staff, monitoring accounting staff performance, and ensuring accounting team accuracy. The Senior Accountant will act as the accounting team lead and will report to the Corporate Accounting Manager. This role will also support corporate accounting initiatives and special projects. As a Senior Accountant, you will work with and help lead a team that operates in a fast-paced environment. You will have the opportunity to be a part of the company's growth, while further developing your accounting skills.

      The salary range is $82k to $92k annually + year-end bonus

      Essential Functions:

      • Develop and implement accounting processes and procedures for Summit Ventures
      • Lead AP/AR and Payroll processes for Summit Ventures
      • Prepare bank reconciliations and general ledger entries
      • Direct and conduct quarterly inventory audits
      • Provide support for annual audits
      • Manage general ledger and assist in month-end and year-end close processes
      • Assist Corporate Accounting Manager in preparing documents and interpreting complicated financial information for other managers and Senior Leadership.
      • Support Corporate Accounting Team, including Summit Ventures budget preparation.
      • Supervise Accounting Clerk
      • Identify opportunities for efficiency and work with the team to implement change
      • Assist Corporate Accounting Team with special projects
      • Additional projects as assigned by the Senior Leadership team

      Who You Are:

      • You have a strong knowledge of GAAP, accounting policies, and procedures
      • You have experience working in a multi-company environment

      Qualifications:

      • 3-5 years of accounting experience
      • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
      • Experience with Dealertrack and Tire Guru preferred
      • Payroll and Benefits experience preferred
      • Advanced knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting best practices at an operational level preferred
