Job Title: Senior Accountant
Supervisor: Accounting Manager
Hours Per Week: Variable/Exempt
Department: Finance
HIRING BONUS: $1,000 after 90 days

Primary Function: The Senior Accountant will work with the finance team to ensure timely and accurate completion of month end close, help maintain seamless operation of the finance department, and ensure we meet all regulatory requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential Functions)
1. Assist with month end close, primarily journal entry posting, balance sheet account reconciliations and financial analysis. Must be comfortable with complex recon files such as payroll, leases, fixed assets, etc. *
2. Prepare necessary information for third party firms for annual audits and tax returns. *
3. Assist with day-to-day operational tasks. *
4. Help ensure we have thorough documentation for all accounting/finance processes.
5. Complete ad hoc projects and financial analysis.
6. Manage records retention for all financial/insurance records.
7. Prepare due diligence letters for unclaimed property. Submit reports and funds to appropriate state
8. Serve as backup for other members of the finance team as needed (payroll/AP/etc).
9. Work respectfully and collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation. *
10. Attend work regularly as scheduled. *
11. Other tasks as assigned.Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related fieldPreferences:
CPA or master’s degree preferred
5-7 years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in healthcare (physician practice or multi-specialty group experience strongly preferred)
Strong excel skills
Expertise in GAAP, financial reporting, and healthcare
Proficiency in accounting software, preferably NetSuite
Very strong analytical skills
Ability to take ownership of assigned tasks, problem solve, stay organized, and effectively prioritize tasks
