  Senior Accountant

  Are you an accounting professional with a passion for travel rewards programs? If so, Expedia Group invites you to apply for the Senior Accountant role on our Merchant Revenue Accounting team. We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join the exciting loyalty accounting space on our team.

  What you’ll do:

  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial entries related to our traveler loyalty programs (including One Key, Expedia, Hotels.com, VRBO, Orbitz, and eBookers)

  • Prepare month-end journal entries, account reconciliations and deliverables

  • Conduct ad-hoc analysis as needed to support business decisions related to traveler loyalty programs

  • Support new Expedia Group loyalty projects and initiatives

  • Prepare quarterly and annual audit deliverables

  Who you are:

  • 3+ years accounting experience. Public Accounting experience or industry experience with progressive high-technology company a plus

  • Bachelor's or Master's in Accounting or related field; or equivalent related professional experience

  • Passed or currently sitting for CPA preferred

  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and SOX processes/practices

  • Able to multi-task and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and other financial analysis tools

  • Commitment to continuous improvement and streamlining processes

  The total cash range for this position in Austin is $82,500 to $115,500. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $132,000 , which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

  The total cash range for this position in Springfield is $71,000 to $99,500. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $113,500 , which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

  The total cash range for this position in Seattle is $82,500.00 to $115,500.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $132,000.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

  Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
