      Overview:

      Senior level accountant to provide supervision of daily transactions, help with monthly closing, and will work on special projects as needed.

      ESSENTIAL/CORE JOB-SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

      1. Prepare invoices for government and contract funders.

      2. Enter and track accounts receivable.

      3. Complete bank reconciliations for all agency bank accounts.

      4. Submit compliance documents as required by funders.

      5. Work with the Director of Accounting to close the books for the month.

      6. Provide supervision of day to day activity within the accounting department by reviewing accounts payable invoices, accounts receivable invoices, daily deposit entries, and bi-weekly payroll

      7. This position will cover for accounting staff when they have to be out of the office for any extended time.

      8. Will be available for special projects assigned by the Director of Accounting or the CFO as needed.

      Qualifications


      Education/Experience:

      • A bachelor's degree with a major in accounting.
      • One (1) year of professional accounting experience. Professional or non-professional accounting experience can substitute on a year for year basis for the required bachelor's degree.
