Job Title: Senior Accountant
Department: Finance
Reports to: Director of Finance
Senior Accountant with a strong background in payroll, labor management, and general accounting tasks. The ideal candidate must be detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Manage payroll processing, including calculating and entering employee hours, taxes, and deductions into the payroll system.
• Prepare the necessary reports and records to maintain accurate and timely payroll information. • Monitor labor costs and provide assistance in developing strategies for labor cost reduction. • Prepare journal entries and other general ledger maintenance.
• Reconcile bank statements and accounts.
Next Level duties: • Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts. • Assist in monthly financial statement close process.
• Prepare journal entries and other general ledger maintenance.
• Assist with the preparation and coordination of audits.
• Participate in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.
Must have Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in payroll and general accounting.
• Proficient in Excel and MS Office applications.
