      Overview

      RWE Renewables Offshore is seeking a Senior Accounting Manager to join the Accounting Principles and Projects (OFA-FP) team for our US offshore wind development. As part of this team, you will provide high quality accounting guidance and solutions to achieve the US Offshore growth strategy. You will support & advise groupwide projects (e.g., M&A or tax equity finance transactions) regarding financial reporting impacts. You will provide technical IFRS and US GAAP guidance to the US Offshore entities, ensuring reporting relevant topics are delivered on time and in good quality.

      Job Description

      • Assessment of IFRS topics, in particular leasing, consolidation, commodity transactions and capitalization of expenditures (e.g. IFRS 9, IFRS 10, IFRS 11, IFRS 16, IAS 16, IAS 37) for Offshore US and also for OFF overall.
      • Advise on project specific tax equity partnerships (including flip structures, funding models, & agreements) and other finance structures from an accounting and financial reporting perspective.
      • Main contact related to Accounting and Audit topics for RWE AG and RWE Offshore central teams (e.g. Controlling, Partnering), help to align actual reporting with MTP/ Forecast numbers
      • Support the issuance of RWE Americas’ US GAAP individual reporting packages as part of the RWE Group reporting and to external investors, to meet annual and quarterly external reporting requirements.
      • Support various financing, M&A, procurement, commercial, leasing and other renewable energy related contracts, helping to ensure the business understands and accepts the accounting impact of such contracts.
      • Be main contact for all accounting related topics for the US Offshore business (e.g. be main contact regarding all questions around the service level agreement with RWE US Onshore and Solar), coordinate set up of new companies in US OFF
      • Dedication to continuously improve the efficiency of the accounting and reporting process.
      • Strong analytical and communicational skills, including presentation of key points of complex topics.

      Qualifications , Experience & Competencies

      • Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in Accounting or Finance.
      • Experience with the preparation (or audit) of annual consolidated financial statements with footnotes under both IFRS and US GAAP.
      • 3-4 years of Big 4 audit and advisory experience.
      • Experience with or proficient knowledge of tax equity partnerships or similar structures.
      • Initial knowledge in the use of ERP systems such as SAP and Group Consolidation systems (helpful).
      • Renewable energy project development or energy industry experience (helpful).
