SUMMARY:
Maintains an accounting system that fairly presents the financial position of the company. Interfaces with management and use professional judgement supplementing accounting policy and procedures in accomplishing that goal.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Prepares or coordinates the preparation of the month end and reconciliation of loans to the general ledger. In addition, prepare the monthly loan reports.
Assists the VP and Manager of Accounting with the allowance calculation including utilizing a third-party software to calculate the allowance as well as preparation and/or review of supporting schedules related to the allowance inputs and outputs. This also includes any additional qualitative factors incorporated into the overall allowance balance.
Understands banking software for loan interfaces. Reviews loan related general ledger accounts to ensure interfaces are running properly.
Prepares quarterly loan footnotes and MD&A and related schedules.
Prepares or assists in preparation of special purpose reports and analyzes associated statistical loan related reports.
Keeps well-informed of enhancements to the system and various spreadsheet programs utilized by the department.
Recommend additional enhancements to the systems or reports where appropriate.
Assists with information needs related to auditors and federal regulators.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Banking is a highly regulated industry and you will be expected to acquire and maintain a proficiency in the Bank's policies and procedures, and adhere to all laws, rules and regulations that are applicable to your conduct and the work you will be performing. You will also be expected to complete all assigned compliance training in a timely manner.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents.
Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints.
Ability to write speeches and articles using original or innovative techniques or style.
Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
Ability to comprehend and apply principles of advanced calculus, modern algebra, and advanced statistical theory. Ability to work with concepts such as limits, rings, quadratic and differential equations, and proofs of theorems.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university required.
Minimum of two years related experience and/or training required.
