      JOB PURPOSE AND SUMMARY

      Reporting to the Manager, Health Records in the Clinical Systems and Informatics division, the successful candidate will provide support with chart completion.

      Key Qualifications:

      • Graduate of a post-secondary approved Health Information Management or related Program.
      • Must be certified and active member in good standing with CHIMA (Canadian Health Information Management Association)
      • Knowledge of various legislation related to healthcare (Personal Health Information Protection Act, Public Hospitals Act, Mental Health Act, Coroner’s Act)
      • Experience in accessing clinical applications and Microsoft applications
      • Good interpersonal, decision making, organizational, problem solving and analytical skills
      • Ability to work under pressure, prioritize, concentrate for long periods of time
      • Attention to detail
      • A professional and friendly attitude that reflects a true customer service orientation, combined with a positive work performance and attendance record
      • Exceptional communication, teamwork and analytical skills

      Position Summary:

      • Responsible for analyzing charts for completion
      • Assigning chart deficiencies to physicians in Epic
      • Responsible for promoting confidentiality & privacy awareness
      • Exercises judgement and resolves issues
      • Accountable for productivity and accuracy
      • Responsible for work related quality improvement activities
      • Responsible for answering department telephone and dealing with any day-to-day issues
      • Other duties as assigned by management

      Position Location and Travel:

      • While this role is typically located at our Credit Valley Hospital site and is hybrid, in person and remote. Travel to all THP sites may be required at different times.
