      Job Description

      Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity

      We are currently seeking to recruit a full time, fixed-term Senior Admissions Adviser within the Department of Student Services. This will be a great opportunity for a confident and experienced individual that can not only deliver on the operational aspects of the role, contributing to continuous improvement of processes and procedure for Applications and Admission, working alongside Admissions Team Leaders. You will be reviewing and making recommendations on improvements and taking this through to implementation. Leading the review and approval of application and admission related information for publication, managing the Oracle Service Cloud content. You will also be focused on the transfer/cross credit process, creating the process and making it functional. While in the Senior role you will also lead training improvements related to Applications and Admissions that are in line with the University’s strategic objectives and driving towards achieving agreed KPI’s.

      This role will be primarily be based in the City Campus but will need to be flexible to work across different faculties, across campuses and it will need someone that is agile and forward thinking.

      This is a full-time, 37.5-hours-per-week on a 12-month contract. The salary range for this role is $68,600 – $73,400 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.

      You will be highly motivated with excellent communications skills, ideally you will have experience working with policies and regulations, as well as managing successful stakeholder relationships at all levels, and working effectively in an area of high-volume work load.

      Nga Pūkenga Motuhake | Important Skills and Knowledge

      • Experience in reporting and analysis.
      • Advanced knowledge and experience using PeopleSoft.
      • Significant experience in the use of the National Academic Recognition Information Centre (NARIC) databases and the Australian National Office of Overseas Skills Recognition (NOOSR) databases.
      • Subject matter expertise around the New Zealand secondary school qualifications and admission requirements.
      • Subject matter expertise in establishing qualification equivalence, assessing academic attainment and applying those outcomes against set guidelines and criteria.
      • Understanding of global English language proficiency assessments and their relevance in the New Zealand context.
      • Demonstrated skills and experience in working collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders and cross-functional teams, and supporting change
      • Kia Whakamana i te Tangata Acknowledging, maintaining and restoring the mana and tapu of individuals, whānau and communities.
      • Preferred: Bachelor's degree or equivalent tertiary qualification.

      Reporting through to the Admissions Manager, Student Services, you will be working along side Admission Team Leaders, and other Senior Admissions Advisors.
