- Ensure security functions are aligned with and executed in accordance with the Rio Tinto Security Standard.
- Drive standardization, simplification and alignment
- Ensuring effective and consistent identification and management of risks
- Governance and Assurance of HSS systems and processes.
- Weekly engagement with Securitas District Manager – review KPIs.
- Develop and manage security service labour budget annually.
- Manage Lock & Key functions site-wide.
- Customer oversight and first line assurance for Emergency Medical Technician functions.
- Oversight/ assurance for security functions associated with commercial shipping of products.
- Oversight/ assurance of security functions associated with Delivery Driver Standard.
- Manage/ monitor security surveillance profile and Conduct investigations.
- Regular engagement with Emergency Services team and provide Emergency Management Team (EMT) response assurance.
- 5 years + of Security, Health and Safety experience
- Bachelor’s degree in relate field preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, translating technical information for the target audience, in various formats including study level phase reports.
- Excellent negotiation and influencing skills, and confidence to operate at all levels of the project.
- Experience in working alongside large and diverse global teams.
- Proficient in managing complex and sensitive issues with detailed reputation management experience.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively and effectively with local and state stakeholder groups.
- Proficiency in software platforms e.g. Microsoft suite, Power BI, Critical Risk Management portal,

We are looking for a Senior Advisor – Security to provide security support to Operational leaders and teams by assisting the sites to effectively identify and manage security and HSE risks at Kennecott.
The Senior Advisor – Security is part of the broader Health and Safety team function and will support safety processes, systems, and initiatives for Kennecott. This role also leads and supports the current security services provider for Rio Tinto Kennecott – Securitas. Securitas has provided security function services at Kennecott for 16 years, providing 24/7 coverage across our operations.
