OverviewThe Agile Project Manager / Business Analyst will be an integral part of the Enterprise Data Management group and overall Data Platform Team at AJG. The role is responsible for managing data projects of varying size and complexity as well as conducting business analysis and requirements gathering for data projects alongside product owners. This position requires a blend of project management expertise and business analysis skills to ensure the delivery of high-quality data solutions that meet business needs. This role reports to the Data PMO and works closely with the Product Owner to deliver high-profile projects.
How you'll make an impactThis role is responsible for the schedule, scope, budget and quality of the project from initiation through production deployment through handover to support. Accountable for the successful delivery of services which meet the defined business and technical requirements on time and within budget and improve business and technology processes by managing significant, multi-disciplinary programs and projects. This role leads or contributes to multiple data and technology related projects. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
· Performing the Scrum Master role for up to two squads, aligned to Gallagher’s Agile Ways of Working.
· Develops and maintains project artifacts in Azure DevOps, Microsoft Teams, and Lucid, including the project plan (with budget), schedule and additional resources, aligned to Gallagher’s Agile Ways of Working.
· Develops and manages product backlogs, setting team and sprint objectives in collaboration with the Product Owner. Collaborates with stakeholders to support backlog development and sprint execution.
· Responsible for aligning squad capacity to sprint / program increment goals, supporting squad autonomy and helping to manage scope within a sprint / program increment
· Organizes and facilitates Agile ceremonies like Daily Standups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospectives, as well as meetings to support project execution.
· Acts as a leader to the project team guiding them towards meeting project objectives and driving continuous improvement across the team (via retrospective feedback implementation, coaching/promoting team alignment to Agile, etc.)
Business Analyst
This role is responsible for gathering and analyzing business requirements to ensure they are effectively translated into data solutions that align with our organizational goals. You will be accountable to drive clear communication between stakeholders and the Product Owner/Tech Leads, ensuring that project objectives are met and aligned with business needs. Additionally, you will play a critical role in enhancing team efficiency and delivering value-driven outcomes.
· Interfaces with business owners, IT, and SME’s to facilitate requirements gathering and UAT / Change management during deployment phase.
· Proactively drives requirement gathering in partnership with the Product Owner by collaborating with stakeholders to understand their data needs and translates them into detailed requirements.
· Analyzes data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can inform business decisions.
· Documents business requirements, data processes, and analysis results.
· Communicates findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
· Ensures the accuracy and quality of data through validation and testing.
· Proactively identifies and champions opportunities to further streamline and improve the business process.
· Operationally trouble shoots complex issues and enables additional collaboration where needed to clearly identify requirements.
· Clarifies scope, and recommends alternative solutions, project strategy and deliverable prioritization in partnership with the
Product Owner
· Influences cross-functionally and demonstrates the ability to collaborate effectively with technology, application, compliance, and audit personnel at multiple levels.
· Evaluates project requests in terms of strategic direction of business and opportunities to leverage existing technologies/applications.
· Actively participates in all project phases such as requirements, architecture, design and testing to provide guidance to the team.

Required:
· Diploma or degree in technical discipline or similar.
· 5+ years related to Data Project Management or Business Analysis experience required.
· Exceptional verbal and written communication skills – must be comfortable speaking and writing to senior level executives.
· Extensive experience in project reporting, including senior level briefing.
· Project Management: Skills in managing projects, including planning, execution, and monitoring.
· Data Analysis: Proficiency in analyzing data using tools like SQL, Excel, Python, or R.
· Database Management: Understanding of database systems and data warehousing.
· Reporting Tools: Experience with BI tools like Tableau, Power BI, or QlikView.
· Data Modeling: Ability to create and understand data models.
· Statistical Analysis: Knowledge of statistical methods and their application in business contexts.
· Business Acumen: Understanding of business processes and how data can drive business decisions.
· Technical Writing: Ability to document requirements, processes, and findings clearly.
· Training and Support: Skills to train and support users on data tools and processes.
· Familiarity with the Microsoft stack and the following technologies: Microsoft Azure, Snowflake, Collibra, and PowerBI.
· CBAP, CBDA, or CAP Certification are a plus.
