      Senior Analog-RF Mixed Signal CAD engineer

      Location: Toulouse, France

      Target domain: EDA Tooling Applications

      Context:

      Design Enablement – Analog department, is providing custom EDA design tools and solutions for the design teams working on analog, mixed A/D signal and RF integrated circuits. An important competence in the department is software engineering, covering all aspects from requirements development through solution architectures to software development, test, maintenance and support.

      Your Responsibilities:

      • As Application Engineer you work closely with customers, internal tool owners, EDA vendors and IT services
      • Provide support and consultancy responsibility to internal design teams
      • Validate and guaranty the compliancy of our EDA tool set within NXP Secure Design Environment and cloud; you help to understand and to solve any issue linked to operating tools in these environments.
      • Deployment and support of mixed-signal methodologies, modeling and tooling in various business lines and projects
      • Experiment new AMS tools functionalities in close cooperation with EDA vendors
      • Create test plans and validation reports

      Your profile:

      Senior Application Engineer with 5+ years relevant experience. Experience with EDA tooling related to AMS frontend design is an advantage..

      • Experience in Analog and Mixed-Signal (AMS) design verification methodology
      • Good Knowledge of Cadence IC Design Environment Virtuoso, Analog Simulation tooling (Spectre, AFS, AMS Designer, etc.), Parametric Verification
      • Hands-on experience and knowledge of mixed-signal and digital simulation and verification tools (e.g. Xcelium/AMSDesigner, Symphony, VCS)
      • Experience with AMS simulations in Analog Design Environment using analog schematics and models in Virtuoso
      • Knowledge of distributed computing management systems such as LSF/Cloud computing
      • Proficient with UNIX/Linux environments, scripting languages and IT concepts.
      • Understanding of software engineering processes, configuration management (SVN, GIT), agile framework, tools, methods, test development, algorithms and data structures
      • Experience in applying and creating a command-line based flow (e.g. shell, python, tcl scripts)
      • Demonstrates good analysis and strong complex problem-solving with excellent communication skills
      • Creative, pragmatic, solution-oriented
      • Work flexibly in an international team following a software development workflow life cycle
      • Ability to learn quickly and work independently or as part of a team
      • Quality driven

      A good level of English is required (meetings, presentations with international team, reading and writing of documentation)
