      Who we're looking for

      The Analytics & Risk Management teams at Toyota Financial Services are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Analyst to join the Analytics Job Family; someone who shares our passions for data, creative problem solving, and continuous improvement.

      This role will be embedded within a specific business unit with the primary responsibility of delivering real-time insights and rapid turnaround analysis for the assigned business unit. Candidates should be as comfortable quickly packaging and presenting their ideas to leadership as they are analyzing complex data sets, creating insightful visualizations and writing SQL/R/Python code.

      What is the Analytics Job Family

      The posting for the Analytics Job Family serves to help fill open "technical analytics” roles across a wide array of TFS business units including:

      • Analytics

        • Business includes sales, marketing, wholesale/remarketing metrics

        • Finance includes profitability and performance metrics

        • Insurance and voluntary protection products

        • Pricing of retail and lease products

      • Data Analysis

        • Support business units with analytical initiatives & data exploration

      • Risk Management

        • Residual Value risk from vehicle valuations

        • Commercial risk from dealership loans

        • Credit risk from consumer loans

      What you'll be doing

      • Become a subject matter expert for the business unit by developing a comprehensive understanding of how the department’s strategies, data, and systems work together for the benefit of our stakeholders and customers.

      • Develop actionable insights through data analysis, synthesis of disparate data sources, creative problem solving and collaboration with key stakeholders across the Analytics Job Family and the broader Toyota organization incl. Sales, Finance, Marketing, Servicing, Manufacturing, Data Science, etc.

      • Use SQL, R and/or Python to clean and structure data prior to analysis.

      • Propose actions to department, executive and international audiences through effective storytelling / presentations (PowerPoint), data visualizations (Tableau, Power BI), and clear written / verbal communication.

      • Build your analytical, technical, communication, and people skills through training, mentorships, and on-the-job experience for advancement into analytical leadership roles.

      What you bring

      • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Analytics, Statistics, Finance, Accounting, Math, Computer Science, Economics, Engineering, or similar analytical / STEM field

      • 3+ years of relevant professional work experience (paid, non-academic, non-intern)

      • Demonstrated experience with both coding and analysis tools (SQL, R, Tableau, Python and/or similar) and a high level of proficiency with both Excel and PowerPoint (testing of coding and analytic abilities will be conducted as part of the application process)

      • Working knowledge of statistics and modelling techniques with experience identifying trends and indicators through quantitative/qualitative analysis

      • Project management and presentation skills including proposing strategic recommendations to management and clearly articulating technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

      • Possess both the curiosity and resourcefulness needed to master complex concepts, methods, and systems in order to improve existing processes and develop creative solutions to new business challenges.

      • Ability to be self-directed and work independently while in a hybrid work environment. While these roles are predominantly work from home, team members are required to join us in-person at our Plano, TX headquarters on a regular basis.

      Added bonus if you have

      • MBA or Master’s degree in an analytical field

      • Background in Auto Finance or Consumer Lending industries

      • Professional experience in one or more areas of the Analytics Job Family (see list above)

      • Intermediate to advanced statistics knowledge
