Conduct job analysis and evaluation of hourly, salary, and management positions (including appropriate title, salary grade, pay and incentive level, job code EEO and FLSA classification, etc.); audit evaluation of positions and application of existing positions
Under general direction, lead components of the annual compensation planning process, including annual and mid-year planning and incentive cycles while managing systems that support the planning cycles
Manage the compensation relationship for multiple client groups. Serve as a primary point of contact for assigned client groups and HR business partners on Compensation matters
Collaborate with assigned client groups and HR business partners to solve business challenges through compensation solutions in alignment with company and Total Rewards strategy
Manage salary structures, including the geographic differential process
Own the third-party compensation survey management tool, including data management, reporting and compensation survey submissions
Handle a variety of compensation-related items in Workday
Respond to audit inquiries and provide SOX documentation as needed
Maintain all Workday compensation training and resource materials
Possibly assist with design and support of broader rewards programs
Bachelor’s Degree
3+ years’ experience in Compensation
Advanced Excel skills and experience with Microsoft tools and applications
Experience with Human Resources Information Systems (Workday preferred)
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Demonstrate a high degree of confidentiality and sensitivity to compliance-related matters
Attention to detail
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Able to process complex information and identify solutions that meet both internal and business partner requirements
Demonstrate ability to handle ambiguity and fluid situations, demonstrating a pragmatic approach
Proficient interpersonal skills and the ability to successfully work with internal stakeholders and colleagues to contribute solutions, ideas, identify opportunities, and contribute to positive outcomes
Knowledge of standard business practices and professionalism in a customer service environment are essential
Ability to influence others, identify problems, and recommend a course of action
Your Opportunity as the Senior Analyst, Compensation
The Senior Analyst, Compensation is tasked with managing the analysis and administration of Compensation Programs and Practices in alignment with The J.M. Smucker Total Rewards Strategy. Manages the relationship for multiple client groups and HR business partners serving as a primary point of contact on Compensation matters. Collaborates with assigned client groups and HR business partners to solve business challenges through compensation solutions. Supports, and sometimes leads, the effective and consistent application of compensation administration policies and practices. Maintains and administers various compensation-related data management systems, determines and executes the deployment approach for annual and ad hoc compensation programs and initiatives.
Location: Orrville, OH (Close proximity to Cleveland/Akron)
Work Arrangements: Hybrid, Onsite approximately 6-9 days per month, during core weeks as determined by the Company; maybe more as business need requires
