What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Manage day-to-day cybersecurity operations, including incident investigation, containment, and remediation
- Develop and maintain runbooks for potential incidents, detailing responsibilities of stakeholders
- Respond to cybersecurity incidents, ensuring identification, mitigation, and remediation of malicious activities
- Actively participate in the design and maintenance of SIEM and threat detection content, tuning detections to reduce false positives
- Collaborate with development and operations teams for efficient monitoring and logging of security-relevant events
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Security, or related field, or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 3-5 years of information security experience, focusing on Security Operations and Incident Response
- At least 3 years of experience in a Cyber Security Operations Center (SOC) or Incident Response team
- Proficiency with SIEM platforms and security automation tools
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Cybersecurity-related certifications (e.g., SANS, CISSP, Splunk Power User)
- Experience with cybersecurity tools such as EDR, IDS/IPS, and firewalls
- Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell)
- Knowledge of the cyber kill chain, MITRE ATT&CK framework, and threat hunting
- Experience with ServiceNow or similar ticketing platforms
