      Job summary

      An exciting opportunity has arisen for a proactive analyst to join SCW's Contract Analytics team on a fix term contract.

      The aim of this role is to provide business intelligence and insight, and leveraging the efficiencies of at scale products and solutions, working with the wider BI teams, to enable local delivery for the client.

      The role supports the operational delivery of the BI Analytics Operating Model and SCWs data strategy.

      This is a key role in the contracting intelligence team, supporting clients and stakeholders by offering expertise and knowledge in contract analytics.

      Main duties of the job

      o Support the contracting multi-disciplinary team (MDT) approach by providing expert knowledge of the NHS Standard Contract, identifying and detailing data requirements, and offering guidance and insight to inform decision making.

      o Support the development and delivery of at-scale products and solutions ensuring the integration with overall Business Intelligence operating model.

      o Developing and delivering enhanced reporting and visualisation across a variety of BI functions; sharing and educating the team on the capabilities and benefits of high quality, insightful, analytics that facilitates decision making.

      o Operate flexibly and in a matrix management style.

      o Be a role model and promote a culture aligned to SCW vision, values, and data strategy.

      o Providing effective insight-driven, analytics visualisation and reporting to our clients.

      o Work with client stakeholders to understand business needs and provide specialist analytical advice and insight to inform decision making and service transformation.

      About us

      The post holder will work as part of a cross-organisational multi-disciplinary team which also includes contract managers and finance managers and will support to assist in their successful delivery. The aim of this role is to provide reporting and analysis of information to support delivery of requirements as identified by the SLA with our customers (internal and external) whose overarching goal is to commission effectively within the local health economy, whilst maintaining national performance standards. They will conduct analysis, interpretation and presentation of highly complex data and information to support planning and decision making on health improvement and healthcare commissioning and delivery.

      The Senior Analyst is a specialist at providing data analysis as well as managing, implementing, and adapting reporting systems to support new policies and advising on the use of data. They will also provide training to enable users to become self-sufficient in basic analysis. Previous NHS experience, data analysis skills, and working knowledge of MS Excel & MS SQL will be advantageous.
