      Job Description

      As the Senior Analyst, Strategy & Business Development, you will support the evaluation and execution of high priority initiatives across NBCUniversal’s Media Group platforms. Specifically, you will assist in the development of new business strategies and identification of opportunities for revenue growth and value enhancement through rights / content acquisitions, M&A, strategic partnerships, and organic business creation.

      You will work on opportunities across NBCU with a focus on NBC Sports rights (e.g. NFL, Premier League), NBC Sports Next initiatives (e.g. GolfNow, SportsEngine), NBC Entertainment properties (NBC, USA, Bravo, E!, SYFY, Oxygen), and Peacock. The scope of this role will include rigorous financial modeling and critical analysis of opportunities across the business including programming, production, digital, consumer transactional businesses, ventures, broadcast, cable, and streaming.

      Responsibilities:

      • Provide analytical support in evaluation of:
        • New and existing media rights deals across NBCU, with a primary focus on sports
        • M&A transactions and partnerships
        • Organic growth and business optimization opportunities
      • Build and maintain detailed financial models covering deal economics, valuations and forecasts
      • Help coordinate day-to-day communication and collaboration with ad sales, finance, programming, production, digital, marketing, and legal teams
      • Create detailed presentations to support analyses and participate in executive-level discussions on such opportunities
      • Serve as part of a deal team and work closely with NBC Sports Group and Comcast's Corporate Development team for all acquisitions and investment activities, including sourcing, analysis, structuring, valuation, negotiation, due diligence and closing activities
      • Help identify potential new revenue opportunities and analyze potential target acquisitions and partners consistent with strategic goals
      • Proactively identify and evaluate trends, new technology, and business opportunities in media and related industries

      Qualifications

      • 2+ of experience in a highly analytical role (e.g. investment banking, consulting, corporate strategy / development or business development at a media, entertainment or tech company)
      • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
      • Strong quantitative and financial modeling skills
      • Strong written and verbal communication skills
      • Exceptional attention to detail
      • Ability to perform under high-pressure situations and under tight deadlines
      • Proficient in Microsoft Excel / PowerPoint
      • Team player with strong interpersonal skills and a positive attitude
      • General understanding of and passion for the media industry
      • General expectation to be in the office Tuesday – Thursday, with frequent travel into the Stanford, Connecticut office is required

      Additional Requirements:

      Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.

      Salary range: $80,000 - $105,000.
