- Carries out processes and standards in support of Procurement, including RFPs, negotiations, cost accountability, program execution related activities, and special projects supporting key KPI’s including reschedule messages, reqs, past due PO’s and invoicing related discrepancies.
- Responds to client inquiries about order status, changes, or cancellations to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Works with buyers in a supporting role on activities associated with purchasing goods, materials, supplies, and services.
- Prepares purchase orders and payment approvals to ensure the procurement process goes smoothly. Assembles price proposals, financial reports, and other data and information for analysis. Sends lists to suppliers for status and updates in alignment with the buyers
- Supports the preparation of request for proposals (RFP) and bid packages.
- Compiles records of items purchased, costs, deliveries, product performance, and inventories, analyzes data and ensures account needs are met.
- Contacts suppliers to schedule or expedite deliveries to ensure resolution of problems such as shortages and missed or late deliveries.
- Doublecheck $10K government spend POs for proper workflow compliance
- Assist with vendor adds/extensions/changes
- GRIR reconciliation, follow-up with vendors for missing invoices or credits
- Review early shipments, coordinate returns where necessary

- Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field or in absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience

The ideal candidate will have experience managing assigned project(s) and oversee all aspects of a project. This position will be in a multi-disciplinary team environment and will need to be able to thrive on tackling challenges, as the position requires the use of problem-solving skills in a hands-on work environment to address problems and implement appropriate changes. The Project specialist will work closely with the buyers to ensure procurement processes are being maintained and driving a continuous improvement mindset with the group.

The salary range for this role is 70,000 USD - 142,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
