Job Description

- Research, evaluate, and document complex accounting topics, such as revenue recognition, software capitalization, debt, derivatives, investments, goodwill, intangible assets, and business combinations
- Support the review of contracts by partnering with business and legal teams to ensure accounting considerations are addressed early and transactions are structured to achieve both business objectives and GAAP compliance
- Develop well-supported, timely accounting memos on complex accounting issues in accordance with U.S. GAAP and company policies
- Monitor regulatory and industry changes to ensure compliance and advise on their impact
- Maintain effective internal controls over assigned accounting processes
- Assist in the preparation and review of financial statements, footnotes, and MD&A supporting workpapers
- Assess and document accounting implications for new transactions, contracts, and business models
- Develop, implement, and maintain accounting policies to ensure consistent application across the company
- Drive process improvements by leveraging technology and automation.
- Develop/maintain relationships and work closely with external auditors, business leaders, and senior management to ensure communication of critical issues in a timely manner
- Conduct ad hoc analysis as needed
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA required, MBA a plus
- 5+ years of progressive experience in technical accounting, including public accounting (Big 4 or large regional firm required)
- Proven expertise in reviewing contracts, researching complex accounting issues and drafting technical memos
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, and reporting requirements
- Excellent ability to communicate complex accounting concepts clearly to diverse audiences
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage competing priorities
- Analytical thinker with creative problem-solving abilities
- Effective relationship-builder with a customer-service focus, able to collaborate across departments and levels
- Proactive and adaptable, thriving in a fast-paced environment

Salary may vary depending on factors such as confirmed job-related skills, experience, and location. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each case.
However, the pay range for this position is as follows. Sales Positions are eligible for a Variable Incentive
