      A division of the Population Health and Value-Based Health Systems portfolio, the Value-Based Care team is focused on several areas of work as part of Ontario Health’s approach to improving population health and creating greater value for patients and caregivers. These areas include funding strategies that better reflect the nature of patient conditions across their continuum of care, data and analytic products to support OHTs and management of population health, performance and accountability development for OHTs, and value-based strategies to improve the delivery of integrated care.

      The Senior Analyst provides comprehensive support to advance transformational change and the implementation of integrated and value-based care models to enhance the delivery of patient care, reflected in improved patient experience and outcomes.

      Bringing expertise in project management and coordination, health system models and funding, integrated care, (data & economic) analysis and implementation science the Senior Analyst facilitates and supports transformational change, by supporting integrated and value-based program implementation to drive improvement (economic, experience, outcome) across the continuum of care.

      Here is what you will be doing:
      • Plans, guides and conducts research and analysis required to support Value-Based and Integrated Care programs, projects and initiatives

      • Supports ongoing implementation of Value-Based and Integrated Care initiatives to drive system transformation

      • Plays a key role in the development of analytical methodology and performance indicators to support Value Based and Integrated Care initiatives

      • Drafts proposals, creates analysis summaries and articulates recommendations for next steps

      • Demonstrates strong understanding of health system policy and funding, including context and system dynamics to inform program and initiative planning

      • Synthesizes resources and information from multiple sources to support program delivery to create knowledge translation tools, presentations, briefing notes and workplans

      • Interprets data and information to inform decision making and program design

      • Co-develops strategic solutions in partnership, building consensus while identifying and resolving challenges and barriers to change

      • Proactively problem solves and develops practical solutions to a wide range of complex, cross-disciplinary problems and issues

      • Works across Ontario Health portfolios, the Ministry of Health, Ontario Health Teams and other healthcare providers in a collaborative and consultative manner

      • Works in partnership (virtually and/or in-person) to create and deliver resources to engage, share knowledge

      • Keeps informed about Value-Based and Integrated Care and trends and finds ways to incorporate key learnings. Effectively communicate key insights, learnings and trends to OH leaders

      • Identifies and supports action planning for short, medium and long-term priorities with the aim to develop and enable implementation

      • Upholds the importance of core values and culture by leading team and building strong communication among both internal and external team members

      • Effectively works in an environment of ambiguity with proven adaptability and resilience to change.

      • Performs other duties as assigned

      Here is what you will need to be successful:

      Education and Experience

      • Undergraduate degree in Business, Public Policy, Economics or other relevant discipline is essential; graduate degree (e.g. MBA, MA, MHSc, MHA, MPA) would be highly advantageous

      • 3-5 years’ experience in planning, policy or related role, with a minimum of 3 years in the healthcare system

      • Experience working with health system leaders and other key stakeholders on complex issues

      • Certification and/or advanced knowledge/skills in change management and/or project management

      • Thorough knowledge of Ontario’s Health System and experience working with a wide range of clinical and administrative stakeholders

      • Extensive knowledge of healthcare sectors with experience working within a variety of integrated health care networks/models

      • Understanding of the province’s vision for transformation of the healthcare system and the role of OHTs in planning and delivery of integrated health and wellness care at the local level

      • Strong skills in Microsoft Office and Virtual Meeting Platforms (MS Teams, Zoom, etc.)

      • Strong judgement skills with a results orientation focus, critical thinking and reasoning skills involving complex issues

      • Strong writing skills and ability to translate complex ideas and concepts for both executive and public audiences

      • Ability to develop and deliver presentations confidently to a variety of audiences

      • Superior interpersonal, communications skills

      • Ability to work effectively in both a team setting and independently

      • Ability to facilitate productive discussions among diverse partners

      • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills

      • Ability to analyze and interpret healthcare and population data/information

      • Excellent time management and work prioritization skills

      • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment; adaptable, flexible, positive and responsive to change

      • Completion of diversity / cultural sensitivity training (preferred)

      Employment Type: Temporary Fixed Term

      Salary Band: 5
