- Designing and developing apps for the Android ecosystem
- Collaborate with a team to define, design, and ship new features
- Fixing known bugs in existing Android applications and adding new features
- Creating tests for code to ensure robustness and performance
- Working with external software libraries and APIs
- Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
- 3+ years of Android app development experience
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, application performance, or a related field
- Solid understanding of common programming tools and paradigms, such as version control, use of frameworks, and common design patterns
- Proficiency with Android Studio and Android SDK tools
- Excellent knowledge of Kotlin programming language
- Experience working with and consuming JSON and REST data contracts
- Familiarity with cloud message APIs, push notifications and OAuth protocols
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git
- Familiarity with mobile applications and development, including targets such as touchpanels and embedded devices.
- Comfortable working as part of a cross-functional team and with code written by others, including bug fixing, and refactoring legacy code

Job Description
We are looking for an Android developer responsible for the development and maintenance of applications aimed at different types of Android devices. Your primary focus will be development of Android applications and their integration with back-end services. You will be working alongside other engineers and developers working on different layers of the infrastructure. Therefore, a commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and the creation of quality products is essential.
As an Android developer, you will need to be familiar with Android mobile app development, including familiarity with popular app frameworks and software development best practices. Your duties will include maintaining existing codebases, including bug fixing, and creating apps from scratch as part of a team while following all coding guidelines and industry best practices. Your applications will run in several different hardware platforms included proprietary embedded devices.
