Job summary
We are seeking to recruit a Senior Assistant Technical Officer to support our team of scientists and nurses in the delivery of anticoagulation across our Trust.
Providing a high quality service that is patient centred is important to us and the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate previous experience of providing a high quality service to the public, preferably in the NHS.
A full UK driving licence is required, the service has a fleet of cars for use in delivering the service.
Core hours of work are 8:00am -16:00pm Monday to Friday, but the successful candidate must be flexible.
Main duties of the job
Duties of the Senior Assistant Technical Officer will include near-patient testing and phlebotomy in both hospital and community anticoagulant clinics and patients homes as well as clerical and IT tasks as required.
Previous phlebotomy experience and familiarity with Trust IT systems would be an advantage but full training will also be provided.
