A career in our Financial Services Tax practice, within Corporate Tax services, will provide you with the opportunity to help our clients meet their tax obligations while managing the impact tax has on their business. You’ll advise clients on their local and overseas tax affairs, while acting as a strategic consultant related to business analysis, managing working capital, and profit sharing for partners. You’ll also help organisations understand the pricing implications of goods and services between related parties, as well as providing advice on tax implications of deals.
Our team helps our Financial Services clients navigate the frequently changing and complex national and international tax environment related to stringent capital requirements, management of operational tax risks, and tax implications of investing in different jurisdictions. You’ll help our clients with their tax structuring while helping to address the challenges of the continuously changing tax world, both locally and globally.Role Details

Job Description The tasks, roles and responsibilities pertaining to the job role of an Assistant
Manager will include the following:
● Assisting Associate Director in preparing /handling complex advisory and
compliance engagements and Litigation support pertaining to Income-tax
laws and rules framed therein specifically for scheduled banks, Non-Banking
Financial Companies (NBFC). Assisting on assignments relating to Banking
Regulations, SEBI regulations (covering FPIs, broking, mutual funds,
distributors, investment advisors), Companies Act and rules framed therein,
FEMA, regulations governing Real Estate Infrastructure Trusts,
Infrastructure investments trusts.
● Periodical uploading of TDS returns, preparation and uploading of annual tax
returns, filing routine reports with authorities and any other routine
compliances. Preparation for review by Associate Director and filing of
submissions before income-tax authorities, objections and submissions filed
before dispute resolution panel, appellate documents and submissions before
Commissioner (Appeals), appeal documents and submissions before the
Income-tax Appellate Tribunal, application before the Authority for Advance
Ruling and appeal before the Hon’ble High Court/Supreme Court.
● Interpreting international tax treaties, income-tax laws of overseas nations,
their regulatory rules.
● Coordinating with the department for obtaining approvals, registrations etc.
● Developing ability to discuss complex technical issues, ask appropriate
questions and gather relevant information from the client under guidance
from Associate Director
● Developing good rapport with middle and lower level of client management.
● Under guidance from Associate Director conducting effective implementation
and review of work programmes. Under guidance of Associate Director
working on the planning and management of assignments.
● Under guidance from Associate Director providing timely and high-quality
services and work products that exceed the client’s expectations.Profile
RequirementsWorking in this discipline will see an Assistant Manager working on engagements
and teams (the sizes of which will vary depending on client/project).
To qualify for the same an assistant manager will need:
● To be a Qualified Chartered Accountant with 2-4 years of relevant
experience/ Degree in law from a recognised University with 2-3 years of
relevant experience, Company secretary, CFA● Working knowledge of Tax and regulatory laws relating to income-tax, SEBI
rules and regulations, FEMA, banking, insurance, other SEBI regulations etc
● Working knowledge of Transfer Pricing is expected
● Other prerequisite skills include:
- Ownership and responsibility of clients/tasks delegated
- Attempting to understand commercial and economic understanding
concerning the project and that of the financial markets
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Good interpersonal and networking skills
- Efficiency in MS office, presentation skills and report writing skillsMandatory skill sets- Direct Tax
