  CommBank’s Global Client Lending & Transaction Services (GCLTS) team sits within our Market Operations business which resides within our Chief Operations Office (COO) and provides middle office loan support and lending administration for Cash Advance and Multi Option products, Agency Operations as well as transactional banking product servicing for IB&M and Business Bank clients.

  This team will be focussed on providing Bilateral Lending Operations services and support, including administration and maintenance, to a portfolio of Corporate, Business Banking and Government clients.
  

  The Role.
  Within our Global Lending & Leasing - Business Bank portfolio, you will be accountable for the management of lending and leasing facilities including new establishment and in-life maintenance activities of the Business Bank portfolio in the Loan IQ platform and other CBA systems as required.
  

  As the Senior Associate, you will lead a team of up to 14 Associates supporting the strategic growth in the Business Bank portfolio through establishing, servicing and maintaining Bilateral Loans. You will be focussed on delivering superior client experience by embedding global processes within your team to ensure best practice application and subsequently appropriate risk mitigation.

  
  You will partner with Institutional Banking & Markets (IB&M) Product owners, Relationship Managers, Change teams, Training & Governance, and Risk and Compliance analysts. You will engage and develop the team by using insights to provide coaching, feedback and creating genuine connection for them with the wider Market Operations business unit.
  

  On any given day you will

  • Produce effective work flow management to ensure that all actions are processed & completed on-time while ensuring the team are adequately resourced to deliver an outstanding customer experience
  • Embedding Loan IQ processes across the team with a focus on cross skilling across the wider lending operations teams to improve proficiencies across the lending stream.
  • Operational risk buy down activities by ensuring consistent application and implementation of processes in accordance to SOPs and documented Controls, including reconciliation activities.
  • Participating in the overall development of the team by demonstrating and sharing best practice, including succession planning and further development for the team.
  • Contribute to internal and external reporting requirements, including regulatory reporting as required.
    

  We’re interested in hearing from people who have:
  You will have strong experience in Corporate or Institutional Lending and will ideally have demonstrable experience as a Corporate Loan Approver. You will have solid people leadership experience, with managing & developing a high performing team. You will have well-established skills to build and maintain strong working relationships with both internal & external stakeholders and clients.
  

  You will also:

  • Prior experience processing Bilateral or Syndicated loans as an approver
  • Experiencing coaching and developing a team on best practice and process
  • Exceptional time management skills ensuring all team’s work is completed on time
  • Solid working knowledge of the Loan IQ system & impacts
  • Strong team management & people leadership
