      Job Description & Summary

      A career within Forensics Technology services, will provide you with the opportunity to help our clients protect their business in today’s evolving landscape by applying advanced and strategic approaches to information management. We focus on assisting organisations manage vast amounts of electronic data and navigate the legal and business processes demanded by critical events which includes litigation, regulatory requests and internal investigations.

      As an employee in the eDiscovery team, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects of the following nature across all major industries including:

      • Computer Forensics
      • Electronic Discovery Services
      • Cybercrime Response & Investigations
      • IT Expert Services

      You will assist companies involved in investigations or litigation to locate, recover, preserve and analyze electronically-stored information such as email while preserving its evidentiary value which including:

      • Perform forensic data collection and log analysis to understand user behaviour on the electronic devices, including computers and mobile devices, provide forensic analysis reports
      • Conduct the data processing and filtering on the electronic evidence files, load data to document review platform and provide eDiscovery support
      • Understand the eDiscovery workflow and present the data according to the specific requirements from document reviewers and regulators
      • Familiar with the mainstream tools used in data processing, data analysis and data hosting, have experience in providing litigation support to document reviewers
      • Work under direction of project managers to research and leverage new forensic technology in projects, work close with project team to deliver the work product at high quality
      • Work closely with clients from a wide range of industry sectors
      • Be willing to travel within China or overseas, flexible in supporting work on projects and adaptive to meet different project schedules and requirements
      • In the case of a dispute, our IT professionals serve as expert witnesses


      On a daily basis, you will be managing a team of forensic technology specialists working on various projects of the nature as mentioned above and will be constantly challenged to demonstrate leadership, strong practice and business development skills, creative thinking and innovation to keep the practice current with market developments and technological advancements.

      Knowledge Preferred:

      • Solid knowledge of computer/mobile forensics, electronic discovery and information security.

      Skills Preferred:

      • Familiarity with personal computer and server hardware, operating systems and software.
      • Experience in the forensic collection of electronic evidence is a plus
      • Familiar with eDiscovery review platform management; RCA certificate holder is a plus
      • Familiarity with email server software (i.e. O365, Microsoft Exchange, Lotus Notes, Web-based email system)
      • Knowledge and execution of data manipulation tasks, data conversion and data analysis activities in a SQL environment
      • Familiarity of data manipulation using MS Access and Excel
      • Strong analytical skillset in log analysis and the ability to using tools to improve work efficiency
      • An ability to solve complex problems with well thought out innovative solutions.
      • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills both internally and externally.
      • An ability to work independently in a fast-paced multi-tasking environment.
      • Knowledge of programming is a plus (i.e. C, Java, Visual Basic, Python, Ruby).

      demonstrating working experience with the following products / tools:

      • Computer forensic and eDiscovery tools i.e. Nuix, Relativity, EnCase, BlackBag, AXIOM;
      • Mobile forensic software i.e. Cellebrite/Oxygen, Mobile Master;
      • litigation-support software, Brainspace, Blackout;
      • Microsoft Program/System i.e. Microsoft SQL Server, Visual Basic, Microsoft .NET framework, Microsoft Access, SQL, Microsoft Exchange, Lotus Notes/Domino, or system administration experience in Microsoft, Linux/Unix, or Macintosh;
      • Thorough experience identifying and addressing client needs: developing and sustaining deep client relationships using networking, negotiation and persuasion skills to identify and sell potential new service opportunities; preparing and presenting complex written and verbal materials; and defining resource requirements, project workflow, budgets, billing and collection; and,

      Minimum Years of Experience Necessary:

      • 1+ forAssociate, 2+ for Senior Associate.

      Minimum Degree(s) and Certification(s):

      • BS or MS degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Information Technology/Systems, Information Security, or related disciplines;
      • Relativity Certified Administrator (RCA), EnCase Certified Examiner (EnCE), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Certified Computer Examiner (CCE);
      • CyberSecurity Forensic Analyst, Certified Hacking Forensic Investigator (CHFI), Certified Forensic Computer Examiner (CFCE), GIAC Certified Forensic Examiner (GCFE ) certifications preferred.

      Languages:

      • Fluency in English and Mandarin, both spoken and written is essential.

      Travel:

      Have the flexibility/desire to travel as it is a required element of this position, and will vary with client demands.
